Dr. Barbara J. Bing
AIKEN – Dr. Barbara J. Bing, age 64, of 1044 Sundy Ave, passed away, Monday, May 7, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, May 12, 2018 at River of Life Church, Aiken, SC. (Viewing 10-11 AM), Rev. Wilbur Simmons, Eulogist and Rev. David Williams, Presiding. Burial will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Aiken, SC.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Bernice Bing; sister, Lillie Bing Owens; while leaving to cherish her memory: sister, Velma Simpkins Bush; brother, John Trottie; aunt, Rosa Williamson; four uncles, James Trottie, Eugene Dicks, Cleveland Robinson, and Adam Williamson; a host of other relatives and loving friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 PM as well as a ritual by the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Barbara was a member of Union Baptist Church. She was a 1971 graduate of Aiken High School. Barbara received her Doctorate from South Carolina State and was an Educator with the Aiken County Public School System.
