Announcing Reunion 2017

Reunion 2017 is in the works!  This will actually be the Forty-Sixth Anniversary of the Graduation of Aiken High School Class of 1971.  Once again, Charlie Miller is leading the effort, and a date will be announced soon.  Check the Home Page of this website to get all information including information about any upcoming meetings.

Who is on the committee?  Anyone who comes to the meeting, that’s who!  Last year we had a large group and we really enjoyed seeing each other when we got together each month.  With so many people involved, the tasks were not burdensome for anyone.

If you are a member of the Class of 1971, please make sure we have your latest contact information by submitting the form above right.  Also, please take a look at the list of classmates for whom we have no information and see if you can help us find any of them.

Reunion 2012

It had been a while since Class of 1971 held a reunion, but we had one in August of 2012 that was a huge success.  It was held at Houndslake County Club and featured good food, music, and lots of time for renewing old acquaintances.

Sandra Best, Charlie Miller, Mary George Bunch
Sandra Best (AHS ’69) who helped at check-in desk, Charlie Miller (Reunion 2012 Chairman), Mary George Bunch (Reunion 2012 Treasurer) Thanks to you all!

A large number of people took part in planning and organizing the event, but the person responsible for getting it all going was Charlie Miller. We all thank Charlie for his hard work.

Another word of thanks is in order for Mary George Bunch and her husband Jim.  Mary served as Treasurer for the Reunionion, and Jim was the official photographer.

Big Thanks to Pat and Sandra!

Around 167 people attended, including 111 members of the Class of ’71, 53 spouses and partners. Two members of the Class of ’69, Sandra Best Pierce and Pat Pinkard, helped by checking in guests as they arrived.  This is very appreciated, as it frees up all the 1971 Class Members to enjoy the party.  Pat Scott, President of the Class of 1972 also attended, and we were all happy to see him.
