Mrs. Doris Crider Capps, 59, of North Augusta, SC entered into rest on Friday, April 22, 2011in Beaufort, SC.

Mrs. Capps was born in Waynesboro, VA to Mary K. and Lester G. Crider. She was a graduate of Aiken High School and worked for Avondale Mills.  Her hobbies included spending time with her family.

In addition to her father, Mrs. Capps is survived by a daughter, Angela (Daniel) Turner, Beaufort, SC; two sons, Kyle and Cody Capps, both of Clearwater, SC; a brother, Jerry  (Belinda) Crider, Wilmington, NC; a sister, Susan Crider, Clarksville, GA and grandchildren, Matthew and Olivia Turner, Beaufort, SC and Brandilynn Capps, Clearwater, SC.

A Private Service is to be held at a late date at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville, SC.

On February 23, 1888, the Aiken Institute was incorporated by an act of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina. The school opened its doors as a high school on September 17, 1888.
