AIKEN, SC –
Funeral services for Mr. James “Tint” Johnson, 60, of 130 Hampton Avenue, NW who died Tuesday, January 3, 2012, will be held 2:30 PM Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Jackson Brooks Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the Thankful Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Windsor, SC.
Mr. Johnson was a native of Aiken and was a 1971 graduate of Aiken High School where he played Varsity Football. He was baptized at Thankful Grove Baptist Church at an early age.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Alice Simmons, Aiken; his sister, Eartha Lee Johnson; his beloved aunt, Dora Bush White; a special nephew, Anthony M. Johnson, all of Aiken, SC; three great-grand nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the nurses and staff of Aiken Regional Medical Center, 5th Floor, PCU and to staff at Azalea Woods Rehabilitation Center.
Friends may call at the residence or at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home 3-8 pm Today and Saturday 9 AM to 2:30 PM.
