Kenneth Wayne Lokey

Kenny LokeyWe were so sorry to hear the news of the sudden death of Kenny Lokey.  When I read his obituary, I thought of the several times I saw him at Hilton Head in the mid to late 1970’s.  He really did seem so happy there.

Kenny’s obituary from the Aiken Standard follows:

AIKEN, SC – Kenneth Wayne Lokey, Sr., 63, died suddenly, Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Hilton Head, SC.
A native of Aiken, Ken was a son of the late Charles Frederick Lokey, Jr. and Helen Kirby Lokey. He graduated from Aiken High School in 1971. After high school Ken worked as Harbor Master at Harbor Town on Hilton Head Island in the early 1970’s. He was a home improvement contractor and lived in Sanford, NC for a number of years before moving back to Aiken last May. Ken was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Sanford. He loved Hilton Head Island and being on the coastal waters.
