
AIKEN, S.C. – William Edward Day, 53, of Aiken died Friday, March 3, 2006, at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday March 7, 2006 at 5:00 PM at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Day was born July 16, 1952 in Charleston, WV, the son of the late Robert Franklin and Norma Alexander Day. He formerly worked at Owens Corning Fiberglass and Westinghouse, SRS. He owned and operated Pettas Liquors, the oldest active Liquor store in Aiken. Surviving are his wife, Lora Day, of Aiken; a daughter, Lyda Nicole Day, of Aiken; a son, Michael Eric Day, of Aiken; a stepson, Matthew Carr, of Columbia; a granddaughter, Kearston Campbell; three brothers, Robert Franklin Day Jr., of Lexington, James A. Day, of Atlanta, John O. Day, of Aiken.
