Flossie Redd was born October 11, 1953 and died December 31, 1978.

WINDSOR – Olive (Flossie) Redd, 25, died Sunday near Windsor.

The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. tomorrow at Mount Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Satcher and the Rev. Edward Newsome of­ficiating. Burial will be in Windsor Church Cemetery.

Miss Redd was a native of Aiken County. She was a church clerk and substitute Sunday school teacher for Mount Beulah Baptist Church. She was also a supply clerk for Skyline Manufacturing Co. for seven years.

Survivors include her father, Oliver C. Redd, Windsor; her mother, Mildred Barwick Redd, Windsor; maternal grandmother, Lula Bell Barwick, Windsor, pater­nal Maggie D. Redd, New Ellenton, and three sisters, Martha R. Stefanski, Windsor, Marilyn R. White, Crown, West Va., Miriam R. Mover, Aiken.

Memorials may be made to Mount Beulah Baptist Church.

Friends may call at the residence of her mother or at George Funeral Home until 2 p.m. tomorow.

Larry was killed in a car accident on Friday, March 26, 1976 at age 23.  The following is an excerpt from the Aiken Paper:

 

“Augusta Wreck Kills 3 Aiken Countians Three young Aiken Countians were killed instantly Friday when their small automobile crashed into the rear of a maintenance truck parked on the Savannah River Bridge on the Gordon Highway in Augusta. Dead as a result of the accident are Mrs. Gail Lanbeth Parks Morrissett. Beech Island. 20. Charlotte Parks. 18. Ill Dunbarton Circle. Aiken: and Lawrence \V. Feaster.- 23.1227 South Marlboro St.. Aiken. The two women were daughters of Dr. and Mrs. Paul B. Parks of Aiken. Feaster was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert R. Feaster. of Aiken. Augusta authorities said the three were traveling south on the Gordon Highway when they smashed through a barricade, plowing into the rear of the maintenance vehicle, stopping beneath the rear of the dump area.”

Odom Funeral

Miss Mable Odom, 17, died Monday at the University Hospital in Augusta.

She was a native of Aiken County, the daughter of Mrs. Lucille Odom and the late David Odom, and a rising senior at Aiken High School.

Funeral plans will be announced later by Miller Funeral Home in Aiken.

Other survivors include, five sisters, Mrs. Doretha Floyd of New Ellenton, Mrs. Aletha Moody of Augusta, Miss Ethel Odom of Hempstead, N. Y., Mrs. Ella Walker of Augusta, and Mrs. Louise Weaver of Hempstead; seven brothers, Alfomia Odom, David Odom, Leroy Odom, and Usey Odom all of New Ellenton, Mack Odom of Hempstead, Ernest Odom of Washington, D. C., and James Odom of Hempstead.

Friends may call at the residence of Mrs Lucille Odom, White Pond Road RFD I, Aiken,  or at the funeral home.

On February 23, 1888, the Aiken Institute was incorporated by an act of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina. The school opened its doors as a high school on September 17, 1888.
