NEW ELLENTON, SC – Mr. Larry Randall Ledford, 61, loving husband of Patricia Heath Ledford, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Gary Mathis and the Reverend Edgar Foster officiating. Interment will follow in the Chime Bell Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.

Pallbearers will be Matt Seigler, Derek Penvose, Will Owen, Tom Amburn, Michael McManus, and Randy Heath. Honorary pallbearers will be Debra Owen and Christine McManus.

A native of Aiken, Mr. Ledford was a son of the late John Ledford and Joyce White Ledford. He was a life long resident as well as a draftsman and musician all of his life. He served in the US Army for four years. He loved to barbeque and entertain, and enjoyed working with his hands. He loved and had compassion for everyone, especially his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Ledford is survived by a daughter, Tabitha (Matt Seigler) Ledford; two sons, Jonathan (Jenna) Ledford, Adam (Chado Yost) Ledford; three grandchildren, Evan Ledford, Shane Ledford, Chloe Seigler; a sister, Lorraine Penvose; nieces, Jessica McGee, Samantha Lewis, Melissa Penvose, Laura Ledford; nephews Will Owen, Chad Heath, Shaun Heath, Derek Penvose, Lamar Ledford; multiple great nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ledford was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Ledford.

William Douglas Key

AIKEN, S.C. – Funeral services for Mr. William D. Key, age 63, of 664 Washington Circle will be held 3 PM Wednesday, July 2, 2014 (Viewing 2 PM – 3PM) at Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Jessamine Memorial Gardens.
William was born Tuesday, May 1, 1951 in Aiken South Carolina to John Otis and Rosa Lee Key. He was baptized in Second Baptist Church in 1961 at the age of 10. He remained an active member until moving to Los Angeles, California in 1973 where he was employed by ABC Television Studios. He joined the military for a short while and was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1976. He eventually settled in Denver, Colorado where he worked in the Restaurant and Hospitality industry for many years and remained there until his return to Aiken in 2002. For the past several years he enjoyed providing gardening and lawn care services in his local community.
William was preceded in death by his father on February 10, 1974 but leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Rev. Rosa L. Jordan, Aiken, SC; one brother, Otis Key (Bonnie) of Denver, Colorado, one sister Odessa K. Chavous (Barney) Aiken, SC and one step-brother, Daniel Jordan, Hawthorne, CA; three aunts and three uncles: Lillie Mae Key Jones, Johnston, SC; , Sam Key (Janie) Edgefield, SC, Willie Haywood Key, Edgefield, SC, and Otis Key (Thelma), Johnston, SC; three nieces: Myra Elaine Key, Memphis, TN, Jasmine Barne’ Chavous Sims (Isaac) of San Antonio, TX, and Nikeya Monique Chavous, Aiken, SC; two nephews, Shedric DeMarcus Chavous, Columbia, SC, and Barney Amon Chavous, Aiken, SC.

michael-a-huff– Mr.Michael Arno Huff, age 59, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at UPAC of Aiken. Funeral serv­ices will be held I PM Monday, May 13, 2013 at St. John Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Blocker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was bom September 27, 1953, the son of Walter Huff and the late Maggie Robinson Huff. A native of Aiken, SC, Michael graduated from Aiken High School in 1971 and was a former employee of Gorham Bronze. He was a member of St. John Baptist Church, Warrenville, SC.

He leaves his family and friends to cherish his memory: his daughters, LaTaya Corbitt, Lynnette Sainbert, Connica McFadden, Lashawn Perry and Kathy Simmons; sons, Michael Perry and Craig Gantt; grandchildren, Kaylin Corbitt, Desmond Corbitt, Nalaysia Perry, Will Sainbert III, Laila Sainbert; his sister, Michelle (Reginald) Harris, Aiken his brother, John (Gloria) Huff, Aiken; aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives.

Michael will lie in state at the church from 12 Noon until the hour of service.
