Chuck Montjoy McCORMICK — James Charlton “Chuck” Montjoy, 57, of 135 Stag Road, McCormick, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Charles Leon Montjoy and Martha Jean Timms Poole. He was an electrician and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his aunt, Doris Spence and her husband, Clay of Jackson; cousins, Joy Stevens and her husband, Pete, of Jackson, Tommy Spence and his wife, Sarah, of Lexington and Gregg Spence and his wife, Amy, of Beech Island; and his stepfather, Dan T. Poole of Augusta, GA. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Greg Gunter officiating. Pallbearers will be Tommy Spence, Gregg Spence, Pete Stevens, Dempsey Sanders and Steve Zorn.

AIKEN, S.C. – Mr. David Michael Harman, 55, of Aiken, SC, beloved husband of Sherrie Beam Harman and son of Mary O’Donnell ‘Dixie’ Harman, Aiken, SC and the late Harold Harman, died Thursday, April 23rd, 2009. Born in Wythe- ville, VA, he had been an area resident all of his life. David was a 1971 graduate of Aiken High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

At the time of his death, David had been employed by Wackenhut for over twenty-five years as a Dog Handler. David had a passion for Dog Handling and in 1996 he and his dog Rocky were awarded National Dog Handler and Dog of the year. He attended Millbrook Baptist Church. Prior to his health declining, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and coaching and umpiring little league baseball. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Aimee Marie Harman, Aiken, SC, Melissa Welsh, Olanta, SC, Amanda Chauvin, Chapin, SC, and Michael Sedavic, U.S.A.F; sister, Brenda Leigh Smith, Simpsonville, SC; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today at 1 o’clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Roland Smith officiating, Interment with veterans honors accorded by the United States Air Force Honor Guard will follow in the veterans section of Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken, SC. Pallbearers will be Neal Cushman, Greg Darr, Michael Smith, Wayne Davis, Jim Budd, and Darrell Wicker.

Retired SRS Westinghouse-SRS NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. – Entered into rest on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, Mr. Rufus David Jackson, 55, husband of Mrs. Dorothy Wannamaker Jackson, 6 Berkley Court, North Augusta, SC.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Moses Jackson. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy Wannamaker Jackson, North Augusta, SC; his mother, Amy Mae Pickens Jackson, Aiken, SC; his maternal grandmother, Mattie Pickens, Aiken, SC; four daughters, LaShonda Lawrence (Marc), New Ellenton, SC, Cherise Jackson Singleton (Idris), Columbia, SC, Chrystal LaShawn Jackson, Atlanta, GA and Amber Nicole Jackson, North Augusta, SC; three sisters, Vickie D. Jackson, Aiken, SC, Beverly Jackson, Spartanburg, SC, and Sandra Jackson Waller (Roderick), Port Saint Lucie, Florida; two brothers, James E. Jackson (Margaret), Belvedere, SC and Antonio R. Jackson, Aiken, SC; three grandchildren and five nieces and six nephews. Mr. Jackson was born in Edgefield, SC.

He retired as a Project Manager for Westinghouse-Savannah River Site with eighteen years of service and he was a member of Riverview Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 3 o’clock p.m. at Riverview Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, U.S. Hwy. No. 1, Clearwater, SC with Mr. Ricky Williams officiating.

Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Ernell Tyler, Chrispen Gardner, Robert Dorsey, Matthew Briggman, Jeffrey Hart, Jr. and Roderick Waller, Jr. Friends may call on Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, U.S. Hwy.
