AIKEN-Paulette Thorne Hallman, 54, died June 9. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Jordon, Rev. John Anderson, and Rev. Richard Swift officiating. Interment will follow at Redds Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. She was born in Aiken to the late Paul Lamar Thorne and Betty Parris Thorne, New Ellenton, SC. She was a lifelong resident of Aiken, member of Cedar Creek Church and a Sheet Metal Mechanic. In addition to her mother she is survived by her loving husband, Curtis Wyman Hallman and beloved children, Christie ( Jodie) Harley, Lexington, SC, Misty (Joe) Olivares, Katy, TX; step children, Lee (Sabrina) Hallman, Aiken, Kevin (Wanda) Hallman, Grovetown, GA; grandchildren, Whitney Harley, Taylor Harley, Kayla Harley, Michael Olivares, Jackson Olivares, Ryan Hallman, Tanner Hallman, Sydney Hallman, Ryan Thomas, Amber Hallman, McKenzie Hallman, Will Clem, Elizabeth Burke; sister, Jan Perez, New Ellenton, brothers, Jack Thorne, Aiken and Larry Thorne, New Ellenton. Pallbearers will be Nephews and honorary pallbearers will be the Cedar Creek Home Group. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Creek Church, 3001 Banks Mill Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.

John Andrew Nealious

AIKEN, S.C. – Mr. John Andrew Nealious, 53, of 1523 Williston Rd., Aiken, SC, was called from Labor to Reward on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 in Aiken County, S.C. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2006 at the Runs Baptist Church, Beech Island, SC, with Rev. Paul H. Bush officiating. The interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery. He was a member of the Runs Baptist Church and dutifully served on the Usher Board. He was an adamant lover and solider for the Lord. He was a 1971 graduate of Aiken High School, Aiken, SC and was employed with Kimberly-Clark, Beech Island, for over 30 years. He left behind a favorable legacy in the heart and minds of his survivors: two daughters, Alisha Nealious and Nancy Nealious; three grandsons, Rodney, Antoine and Nicholas; 11 sisters, Fannie Mae Nealious, Tiny Ashley, Rev. Shirley Edwards, Jeannie Smith (John), JoAnne Moody (Donald), Mary Mims (Benjamin), Vivian Edwards, Elizabeth Blocker, Patricia Williamson, Edith Hughes and Carol Edwards; four brothers, Joseph Nealious (Agnes), Jimmy Nealious (Elaine), Clyde Edwards (Clentorious) and Lindsey Edwards; beloved friends, Rev. and Mrs. Jonas Walker and Gwendolyn Chavous and a host of saddened, extended relatives and compassionate friends in the surrounding areas that will always remember the life of this good man. The family will be receiving friends at the residence. The viewing will be held on today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service in the church. Donna Lynn Robinson

Mrs. Donna Lynn Robinson Sharpe, 52, of Aiken, died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services will be private.

Mrs. Sharpe was born in Aiken to Betty Black Robinson of Aiken and the late Lawrence Edward “Roby” Robinson.

She worked at First Lady Beauty Shop as a nail technician. She was a past president of the Aiken County Shrine Club Ladies of the Nobles, a member of the Arabi Temple No. 141 Daughters of the Nile, the American Women’s Bowling Association, and was a graduate of the Pages University School of Cosmetology. She was also a member of Millbrook Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her beloved husband, Walter Coy Sharpe; two daughters, Jeana (Rande) Gregg of Graniteville, Kacie Sharpe of Warrenville; a son, SSG. Brent (Stephanie) Sharpe of Tampa, Fla.; five grandchildren, Sommer Franklin, Taylor Gregg, Trevor Sharpe, Aubre Boehnke and Jeslyn Boehnke; and two sisters, Vicky Redfern and Jeannie (Tony) Cato, both of Aiken.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. 950 West Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Shellhouse Funeral Home, Inc., 924 Hayne Ave., Aiken.

William Edward Day

AIKEN, S.C. – William Edward Day, 53, of Aiken died Friday, March 3, 2006, at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday March 7, 2006 at 5:00 PM at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Day was born July 16, 1952 in Charleston, WV, the son of the late Robert Franklin and Norma Alexander Day. He formerly worked at Owens Corning Fiberglass and Westinghouse, SRS. He owned and operated Pettas Liquors, the oldest active Liquor store in Aiken. Surviving are his wife, Lora Day, of Aiken; a daughter, Lyda Nicole Day, of Aiken; a son, Michael Eric Day, of Aiken; a stepson, Matthew Carr, of Columbia; a granddaughter, Kearston Campbell; three brothers, Robert Franklin Day Jr., of Lexington, James A. Day, of Atlanta, John O. Day, of Aiken.
